Diving Deeper into Yoga for Larger Bodies

This 6-week series is for those in larger bodies who practice yoga who are ready to build on their current practice.  This class is perfect for those who have already participated in the Find Your Flow: Yoga for Larger Bodies series and are ready for more, or those who already have some yoga experience and want to practice in an environment exclusively geared to larger bodies with a focus on connecting with your unique body as your greatest teacher.

We will dive deeper into the different principles of movement in yoga as a tool towards greater embodiment.  We’ll learn how to use our breath to guide our practice, how to find the balance between effort and ease as we maintain the integrity of the spine and learn to use poses to embody our whole being from the crown of our head, to our fingertips, to our toes.  We will also challenge our bodies and explore their limits and edges as a way of breaking down the limiting beliefs we may have about our bodies. Perhaps we are capable of far more than we ever thought.

And of course this class will have all of the community and connection that you have come to expect from Any Body Yoga classes.


I am happy to offer a higher level of support as an add-on to registration in this series which includes two 45-minute one-on-one sessions, help in setting personal movement goals, and weekly check-ins about those goals.

Sometimes what keeps us from sticking with a movement practice is the limiting beliefs about our body that movement can bring up for us.  Often we think we just don't have enough willpower, but it may be more about needing skills to mindfully work through these body beliefs. These one on one sessions are designed to help you navigate through any beliefs or body shame that come up in class, to dive deeper into any questions you have about how to work with your body specifically, and to start to create a new narrative about your body, what it is capable of, and your relationship to it.

Cost: $289 for class + one-on-one support; $139 class only
